Centre for Speech, Language, and the Brain (CSLB)

Department of Psychology

The CSLB is an interdisciplinary research group within the Department of Psychology. The Centre has excellent experimental and computing facilities, and researchers collaborate with scientists in the Department of Psychiatry, the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, and the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

The CSLB welcomes applications from postdoctoral scientists and prospective PhD students wishing to pursue research on a variety of topics in the cognitive neuroscience of language, object processing, semantics, the ageing brain and cognition. Within these areas, methods include behavioural cognitive studies, neuropsychology, and neuroimaging using functional and structural MRI and MEG.

Given the interdisciplinary nature of our research, we particularly welcome applicants with a background in scientific computing, statistics, machine learning and/or signal processing methods.
