New Special Issue of LCN

The April issue of Language, Cognition and Neuroscience is a Special Issue titled Cognitive and neurophysiological evidence for and against localist 'grandmother cells'

The SI brings together new perspectives, reviews and research discussing localist and distributed coding in the brain from a number of leading researchers in the field. Guest editor Jeffrey S. Bowers concludes 'My hope is that this special issue will provide a collection of papers from psychology and neuroscience that will advance our understanding of how information is coded in mind and brain. A key step in doing this is to avoid confusions that lead researchers from different fields from talking past one another, and to ensure that insights from psychology and neuroscience are shared.'
